Copywriter for Community Advocacy

Save Temecula (filing as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) is fighting SDG&E's Golden Pacific Powerlink — and we are looking for a powerful storyteller to help us win.
If you can turn complex issues into clear, inspiring messages that move people to act, we want you on our team.
Save Temecula's all-volunteer team is looking for another copywriter to help us communicate our case to the public and policymakers. This is a flexible, largely remote, part-time, volunteer position.
You'll
- Write compelling email updates, social posts, press releases and more
- Translate legal and environmental jargon into plain language
- Help mobilize our community and influence decision-makers
You are
- A skilled writer with a passion for advocacy
- A star proof-reader and editor
- Able to make technical topics engaging
- Savvy with messaging
- Able to churn out quality work on a tight deadline
- Collaborative and mission-driven
- Ready to fight for public safety, transparency and our environment
Reports to the Chief Marketing and Communication Officer.
