The corridor as a tabletop model

Six miles of Temecula, SDG&E's corridor and its towers, at your feet, or a closer look at the stretch from Margarita Road to Butterfield Stage Road. Walk along it, or pinch it down to fit a table.

Which model?
A model of the 6.1-mile Temecula crossing draped in an aerial photo: hills, neighborhoods and roads, with SDG&E's 1,000-foot corridor in violet running its length and yellow towers and wires along it.

Open this page on your phone to set the model on a table or the floor in augmented reality. It works on most iPhones and Android phones, and there is no app to install.

The violet band is SDG&E's published 1,000-foot corridor. The towers are drawn at a typical spacing along it, not at positions SDG&E has filed (it hasn't), so any one tower could be a few hundred feet off. Building heights are generalized, the wires are drawn thicker than life, and the hills are at true height. The ground and rooftops are a 2022 aerial photo, so anything built since may be missing. Photo USDA NAIP via USGS (public domain); road and creek names © OpenStreetMap contributors; building footprints © Microsoft (both ODbL); terrain USGS 3DEP.
