Temecula is not SDG&E's extension cord
The line that started the campaign, and the simplest way to explain what is wrong with this project.
SDG&E serves San Diego and Orange counties. It does not serve Riverside County. Yet Temecula is the community asked to live beneath 500 kV towers, so that power can be moved between the Imperial Valley, San Diego, and the LA Basin.
We carry the wildfire risk, the blocked evacuation routes, the damage to Temecula Creek and the Santa Margarita River, and the towers over our neighborhoods and vineyards. We receive none of the power.
That's not infrastructure for Temecula. That's an extension cord run through it.
